Kevin Cowart, PharmD, MPH, BCACP, CDCES is an Assistant Professor at the University of South Florida Colleges of Pharmacy, Medicine & Public Health. He is a Board Certified Ambulatory Care Pharmacist & Certified Diabetes Care & Education Specialist. Dr. Cowart practices as a clinical pharmacy specialist in ambulatory care in the USF Health Department of Family Medicine, where he also serves as the PGY2 Ambulatory Care Residency Program Director. Dr. Cowart completed his Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences & Doctor of Pharmacy degrees at the University of South Florida, followed by a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology from the University of Florida. Dr. Cowart completed a PGY1 Pharmacy Residency at Duke University Health System followed by a PGY2 Pharmacy Residency in Ambulatory Care at the University of Florida College of Pharmacy/UF Health. Dr. Cowart’s research interests include exploring technology-driven approaches to improving care for people with diabetes and advancing pharmacy practice in primary care settings.
