Lindsey Childs-Kean, PharmD, MPH, BCPS is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmacy Education and Practice with the University of Florida College of Pharmacy. She earned her PharmD degree from UF and completed a PGY1 residency at Tampa General Hospital and a PGY2 Infectious Diseases residency at the South Texas Veterans Healthcare System. Her teaching, research, and practice interests include infectious disease pharmacotherapy and professional development of students and new practitioners. She established a pharmacist-run Hepatitis C clinic at the Bay Pines VA Healthcare System prior to joining the faculty of UF. Her current clinical practice incorporates outpatient parenteral antimicrobial therapy (OPAT) with UF Health. She is an active member of multiple state and national pharmacy organizations. She has served on various ASHP committees, including the New Practitioners Forum Executive Committee, Section of Clinical Specialists and Scientists Preceptor Skills Development Advisory Group, Section of Clinical Specialists and Scientists Year-Round Educational Steering Committee, and Section of Pharmacy Educators Development of the Educational Workforce Advisory Group. She has also held leadership positions within the Society of Infectious Diseases Pharmacists, American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy, and Florida Society of Health-System Pharmacists. She is a recipient of the AACP Emerging Teaching Scholar Award for her achievements in teaching and Scholarship of Teaching and Learning and is an Associate Editor for the American Journal of Pharmaceutical Education.
