Kay Yamamoto, PharmD, DPLA attended Northeastern University in Boston, MA where she subsequently completed a PGY-1 Residency at Cambridge Health Alliance. With her desire to pursue pharmacy leadership training, she moved to Chicago for a PGY-2 Health System Pharmacy Administration and Leadership Residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago. She stayed on as a Coordinator, Medication Safety and Quality at UI Health. In pursuring her passion for academia, she has recently moved into a new role as an Administrative Course Coordinator the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Pharmacy. She has been an active member of the ASHP New Practitioners Forum, serving as the Personal Development Advisory Group Chair (2022-2023) and a member of the Executive Committee (2023-2024).
