Associate Director of Experiential Education, Associate Professor of Pharmacy Practice

Following graduation with her Doctor of Pharmacy degree, Dr. Trovinger spent time in both hospital and retail practice prior to joining the Purdue University pharmacy faculty as a co-funded faculty member with both Purdue University and Lutheran Hospital. During her years in this cofunded position, she created an emergency department pharmacy service and specialized in cardiac critical care.
While working at both Lutheran Hospital and Purdue University, Dr. Trovinger enrolled in The Graduate School at Purdue University focusing on learning design and technology, completing her Master’s Degree in Education.
Dr. Trovinger moved to full time academia, joining the faculty of Manchester University following her time with Purdue, eventually being promoted to Director of Experiential Education. She then joined the faculty of Palm Beach Atlantic University and served there as the Chair of Experiential Education until her return to Manchester University where she is an Associate Professor and currently serves as the Associate Director of Experiential Education.
Dr. Trovinger’s research focuses in the scholarship of teaching and learning, specifically in preceptor development. She speaks both locally and nationally on topics related to experiential education, as well as presenting posters and publishing in peer-reviewed pharmacy education journals and publications. She is heavily involved in AACP, serving as the chair of both the Technology and Woman Special Interest Groups.
