Jorge J. García, PharmD, MBA, MS, MHA, is a pharmacy executive with extensive leadership in oncology, infusion, and investigational drug pharmacy services. He currently serves as Assistant Vice President at Baptist Health South Florida (BHSF), overseeing system-wide acute and ambulatory oncology pharmacy, ambulatory non-oncology infusion pharmacy, and investigational drug services.
Dr. García completed his PharmD and MBA at Nova Southeastern University, followed by a PGY-1 & PGY-2 Health-System Pharmacy Administration Residency and MS in Pharmacy Administration at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. He also holds an MHA from Florida Atlantic University.
A national thought leader, Dr. García is recognized for his expertise in pharmacy charge integrity, alternative payment models, biosimilars, drug bagging practices, and development and expansion of drug infusion services. He also leads national advocacy efforts to enhance access to medicines and high-quality oncology and infusion standards.
Dr. García has been a Florida Society of Clinical Oncology (FLASCO) board member since 2015 and received the FLASCO Lifetime Dorothy Phillips Award. He serves as executive secretary of the Association of Cancer Care Centers (ACCC) and chairs the Advanced Topics for Oncology Pharmacy Professionals (ATOPP) conference. Additionally, he is a fellow of ACCC and the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) and faculty for the ASHP Foundation Pharmacy Leadership Academy.
