Kathryn Givens Rose is the Division Director of Clinical Pharmacy for the Central and West Texas Division of St. David’s Healthcare/HCA, practicing previously as a Pediatric Infectious Diseases Clinical Pharmacy Specialist and Clinical Pharmacy Manager. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Vanderbilt University then went on to earn her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She completed a PGY-1 pharmacy practice residency and PGY-2 infectious diseases specialty residency at Indiana University Health. She is a Board Certified Pediatric and Infectious Diseases Pharmacy Specialist currently serving on the Board of Pharmacy Specialties Infectious Diseases Specialty Council. Additionally, she is an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the College of Pharmacy at the University of Texas at Austin and serves as the Clinical/Hospital APPE coordinator for the Austin-Temple-Waco region. She is a member and past chair of the ASHP Pediatrics Section Advisory Group. Additionally she is an member of the Texas Society of Health-System Pharmacists, previously serving in leadership roles at the local and state levels. Her interests include antimicrobial stewardship, smart infusion pump technology, informatics, and quality/process improvement.
