Julie E. Farrar, Pharm.D., BCCCP is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Pharmacy and Translational Science and alumna of the University of Tennessee College of Pharmacy in Memphis, TN. She received her undergraduate degree in biological sciences from Louisiana State University before going on to pharmacy school. Dr. Farrar completed a PGY1 Pharmacy Residency at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center and a PGY2 Critical Care Pharmacy Residency at the University of Colorado Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. After her post-graduate training, she entered academia and maintains a clinical practice in the surgical/trauma ICU. Dr. Farrar is an active member of ACCP, ASHP, and SCCM. Her research interests include pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic dose optimization, anticoagulation, nutrition, and implications of augmented renal clearance in the critically ill.
