John Knorr, PharmD is a board certified transplant cliniccal pharmacist and student clerkship coordinator at Jefferson Einstein Hospital Philadelphia. He specializes in liver and kidney transplant pharmacotherapy and splits his practice between the inpatient and outpatient settings. He graduated from the Philadelphia College of Pharmacy, and completed his residency training at Einstein Medical Center. He holds adjunct faculty appointments at Jefferson College of Pharmacy and Philadelphia College of Pharmacy, and has lectured on Solid Organ Transplant and Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) topics. At his institution, he provides core lectures and grand rounds presentations for pharmacy, hepatology/GI, nephrology and infectious diseases residents/fellows. He has coauthored a book chapter on liver transplant immunosuppression and has authored several manuscripts and abstracts related to kidney and liver transplant immunosuppression, transplant infectious diseases, medication adherence, drug-drug interactions, post-operative pain management and drug dosing in kidney and liver disease. John has given lectures on related topics to chapters of the American Liver Foundation, the American College of Clinical Pharmacy, and the Pennsylvania Pharmacist Association. John is on the advisory board and is the formulary subcommittee chair for the Pennsylvania Department of Health's Chronic Renal Disease Program.
