Maari Loy obtained her PharmD and MBA from North Dakota State University, completed a PGY1 Pharmacy Residency at Sanford Health, and is a Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist. She has experience as a Critical Care pharmacist, a pharmacy educator, and has experience in project management within Critical Access Hospitals, tertiary medical centers, and ambulatory pharmacies. Maari is currently the Pharmacy Operations Senior Manager at Essentia Health in Fargo. She has been named the Residency Preceptor of the Year, the ND Distinguished Young Pharmacist of the Year, the ND Health-System Pharmacist of the Year, Pharmacy Leadership Society Outstanding Alumnus, and has received the ASHP State Affiliate Leadership Award. She is a member of the NDSHP, NDPhA, the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists and is currently the chairperson of the NDSU School of Pharmacy Advisory Board. Maari is a NDSHP Past- President and has had roles in the government affairs committee, website administration, Summit and Expo Committee, social media development, and Networking and Education Meeting Chair. Maari is a strong advocate for the elevation of pharmacy practice and has great passion for education, innovation, evidence-based practice, and safety within the framework of patient care.
Maari Loy is a native of Prosper, North Dakota. In her spare time she enjoys projects with her family, music with her church worship team, and any craft or home decorating endeavor.
