Dr Susan Mashni is Mount Sinai Health System’s first SVP of Pharmacy and Chief Pharmacy Officer. Dr. Mashni oversees over 600 FTE’s in Pharmacy at eight hospitals, an ACO pharmacy group, three Specialty pharmacies, several retail pharmacies, a 340b team, Mount Sinai PBM and Mount Sinai Home Infusion. Sue is also an Associate Professor at the Icahn School of Medicine, is a member of the IRB and helps to provide guidance for a busy investigation drug pharmacy service.
Dr Mashni came to Mount Sinai in May 2018 and quickly established a corporate pharmacy team, including clinical, operations, 340b, contracting, business development and specialty pharmacy leadership. With dedication to increasing pharmacist’s involvement in providing care to the poor and underserved community of NYC, Sue added Pharmacy Residents and pharmacy staff to the volunteer staff of the EHHOP clinic (East Harlem Health Outreach Program), also offering medication support through Dispensary of Hope & the "Mount Sinai Pharmacy Assistance Program" at the Mount Sinai Retail Pharmacies. The Sinai Pharmacy team is also offering a new program offering Pharmacogenomic testing and counseling as well as disease state management for employees.
Prior to this role, Sue served as Chief Pharmacy Officer at Mercy Health in Cincinnati. Sue went to the Ohio State University and currently is living her best life on Long Island, commuting into the Big Apple.
