Director of Pharmacy and Oncology Informatics

Emmanuel N. Enwere is the system director of pharmacy and oncology informatics for the City of Hope National Cancer Center. Emmanuel leads teams that support pharmacy, oncology and research application systems with data analytics for pharmacy. His teams support informatics services for five cancer center locations nationwide within Los Angeles, Orange County, Atlanta, Chicago, and Phoenix. Prior to his current role, he led several transformational initiatives as the senior pharmacy informatics manager at UTMB Health.
Emmanuel received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from The University of Texas College of Pharmacy. He completed his pharmacy residency and Master of Science degree in health-system pharmacy administration emphasizing pharmacy informatics at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.
Emmanuel is very passionate about designing systems that help guide healthcare providers to make better clinical decisions that improve patient outcomes. He currently serves as Director-at-Large-elect for the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists Section of Pharmacy Informatics & Technology (SOPIT) Executive Committee. He also previously served as the 2022-2023 Chair for the ASHP SOPIT Section Advisory Group (SAG) on Clinical Decision Support and Analytics (CDSA). He is a Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems (CPHIMS) and holds several Epic Systems certifications that support pharmacy, oncology, and clinical decision support.
