Dr. Amisha Arya received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from The University of Georgia College Of Pharmacy and completed her Pharmacy Practice Residency at The Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. She is a Board Certified Sterile Compounding Pharmacist and Certified Joint Commission Professional.
Dr. Arya is the System Director of Pharmacy Regulatory and Compliance at NYU Langone Health in New York City. In her role, she leads medication focused standards interpretation, policy and process standardization, and continuous compliance. She leads the NYU Langone Health Drug Diversion Surveillance Program, where she is responsible for the implementation and management of an effective, risk-based approach to mitigating diversion risks. As an advocate for technician certification and registration, Amisha co-founded the NYU Langone Health Pharmacy Technician Training Program in 2016, the first accredited institutional-based pharmacy technician training program in New York State.
Dr. Arya is an active member of the New York City Society of Health-System Pharmacists and the New York State Council of Health-System Pharmacists. She is a member of the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists Section of Pharmacy Practice Leaders Advisory Group on Value, Quality, and Compliance and the ASHP/ACPE Pharmacy Technician Accreditation Commission.
