Christopher Medlin, PharmD, BCPS is a Clinical Assistant Professor at The University of Texas at El Paso School of Pharmacy. He received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from The University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy and went on to complete his PGY1 and PGY2 Pharmacotherapy Residency at the University of Maryland Baltimore School of Pharmacy. Dr. Medlin practices as an internal medicine clinical pharmacist and is a Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist. His research interests include Hispanic and LGBTQIA+ health disparities, cultural competency, and various clinical subspecialties including infectious diseases, anticoagulation, and liver disease. In his first two years as a faculty member, he has been recognized for both his didactic and experiential teaching, including both Teacher and Preceptor of the Year. Dr. Medlin has aligned his passion for health equity and advocacy for marginalized populations through professional involvement including Pharmacists for Sexual and Gender Health Advocacy, Reform, and Equity (RxSHARE), ACCP Health Equity PRN, and other local community partners in the El Paso, Texas area.
