Katie S. McClendon graduated from the University of South Carolina College of Pharmacy with a Doctor of Pharmacy. She completed a Primary Care Residency at the St. Louis VA Medical Center/St. Louis College of Pharmacy, after which she joined the faculty of the University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy (UM SOP). At UM SOP, she is a clinical associate professor and previously served as Assistant Dean for Student Services for the Jackson campus. She maintains a practice in family medicine where she primarily manages diabetes and metabolic diseases, and oversees pharmacy services at the Jackson Free Clinic and other community outreach events. She is a board certified pharmacotherapy specialist and fellow of the American College of Clinical Pharmacy.
