Clinical Associate Professor and Assistant Dean for Student Success and Engagement

Dr. Nicole P. Albanese is a Clinical Associate Professor and Assistant Dean for Student Success and Engagement at the University at Buffalo, School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences. She is a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University, School of Pharmacy, located in Richmond, Virginia where she went on to complete a Community Care Pharmacy Practice Residency under the direction of Dr. Ralph Small.
She also serves as the RPD for a PGY2 Ambulatory Care Residency. Dr. Albanese is a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist and holds her Board Certification as an Ambulatory Care Pharmacist. Additionally, Dr. Albanese completed the Academic Leadership Fellows Program (ALFP) through the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP).
In her current position, Dr. Albanese is involved with the development and implementation of patient care education and research, which focuses on diabetes and medication management in a Patient Centered Medical Home Physician Group practice. Her curricular responsibilities include endocrinology, in addition to other ambulatory care topics in pharmaceutical care and self-care.
She is an active member of the profession and an accomplished lecturer speaking on topics such as diabetes, obesity and self-care. She is also well published in peer reviewed journals, textbooks, and casebooks.
