Alexandra M. Peterson, PharmD. is the director of clinical ambulatory pharmacy at Corewell Health, a large health system in Michigan. She has over 10 years of experience in leading and expanding clinical pharmacy services in various settings, including primary care, specialty care, transitions of care, medication care coordination, and community pharmacies. She is passionate about providing high-quality, cost-effective, and patient-centered care through multidisciplinary collaboration, strategic planning, quality and safety improvement, program growth, and data and outcomes analysis.
Alexandra earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Albany College of Pharmacy in Vermont, where she was on the Dean's List and a member of Phi Lambda Sigma, the pharmacy leadership society. She completed her pre-professional studies in chemistry and pre-pharmacy at Lake Superior State University in Michigan, where she received academic and athletic scholarships and was recognized as a GLIAC All-Academic student-athlete.
Alexandra has completed several trainings and certificates, including ASHP Pharmacogenomics Certificate. She is also an active member of the Michigan Pharmacist Association, the American Society of Health System Pharmacists, and the Women in Spectrum Health network. She has received several honors and awards, such as the Vizient Pharmacy Vision Award, the Excellence in Performance Improvement Award, and the Connect to Community Award. She has also been involved in various volunteer and community engagement activities to help support their communities.
