Ellen Jones, Pharm.D., BCACP is an associate professor of pharmacy practice at Harding University College of Pharmacy (HUCOP) in Searcy, Arkansas. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Music and Theatre and Pharm.D. from Harding University. She completed her pharmacy practice PGY-1 residency at White River Medical Center in Batesville, Arkansas.
Ellen's current practice site is a direct primary care clinic, OneLife Direct Care, in Searcy, Arkansas. She manages or consults on a wide variety of disease states, focusing mainly on cardiovascular disease, men's health, and mental health, utilizing pharmacogenomics testing to guide medication therapy. She coordinates four courses at HUCOP, the first three of a Patient Centered Care course series and Self Care Therapeutics.
Ellen is a member of APhA, ASHP, AACP, NCPA, and ACCP and serves on multiple committees for these organizations. She is also the chapter sponsor of the Mark S. Reilly Chapter of the National Community Pharmacy Association. Her recent research has been on artificial intelligence in pharmacy practice and academia, pharmacist payment parity in the U.S., and the use of theatre improvisation to teach communication and leadership skills
