Trista Askins Bailey, Pharm.D., BCGP, BCPS, FASCP is Associate Professor for the Department of Pharmacy Practice in the Geriatrics Division at Texas Tech Health Sciences Center School of Pharmacy. Dr. Bailey’s academic responsibilities include didactic lessons, laboratory teaching, facilitating case-based learning, and precepting geriatric clerkships. She also practices as a consultant pharmacist for two nursing homes and an assisted living facility in the Abilene area. Her duties include monthly chart reviews, medication pass observations, nursing education, and drug destruction for approximately 120 patients.
Dr. Bailey received her Bachelor of Science degree with Honors from Texas Tech University and her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from The University of Texas at Austin/The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. She also completed an ASHP-accredited PGY1 ambulatory care/geriatrics focused residency with the Battle Creek Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Dr. Bailey is a Board Certified Geriatric Pharmacist and Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist. She is also a fellow with the American Society of Consultant Pharmacists.
