Asha L. Tata is a pharmacist at the University of Maryland Medical Center and holds a clinical practice on one of the internal medicine teams. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania in 2005 and completed a Pharmacy Practice Residency and an Adult Internal Medicine Specialty Residency at the Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center in Richmond, Virginia from 2005-2007. She is the Director for the Pharmacotherapy Residency at the University of Maryland. She has received both leadership and teaching awards and is a member of various hospital committees related to patient safety and quality.
