Clinical Pharmacist – Emergency Medicine

Patrick Dougherty graduated from the University of Rhode Island College of Pharmacy and completed a two-year clinical toxicology fellowship at the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy and Maryland Poison Center. Following that, he became the clinical pharmacist in emergency medicine at TidalHealth Peninsula Regional in Salisbury, MD. He's also the residency program director for the PGY1 pharmacy residency and the coordinator for the health-system's monthly Pharmacy Grand Rounds. He holds board certifications in pharmacotherapy and emergency medicine and currently serves as a member on the Board of Pharmacy Specialties Emergency Medicine Specialty Council. His research and practice interests include the use of thrombolytics in acute ischemic stroke, treatment of drug-induced hemorrhage, and medication use in trauma.
