Katie Weigartz is currently an Emergency Medicine Pharmacy Clinical Coordinator at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. In addition to her patient care role, she serves as the PGY1 and PGY2 Emergency Medicine Residency Program Director and Pharmacy Graduate Programs Coordinator. Katie graduated from Auburn University Harrison School of Pharmacy, completed her PGY1 residency at Ochsner-LSU Shreveport and PGY2 in Emergency Medicine at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. Recently, she completed her Master of Buisness Administration degree. Her practice interests include cardiovascular emergencies, disaster prepardeness, and interdisiplinary education. Katie has been instumental in the emergency medicine service line expansion at her practice site, and has been locally recongized with honors such as the Preceptor of the Year Award from Texas Tech Univeristy, won multiple first place research awards at the Integrated Emergency Services Quality Summit, and most importantly to her, the "Most Wanted on their Code Blue Team" superlative award.
