Yulia Trisna earned her BPharm degree and internship in Pharmacy from the Universitas Indonesia and completed her Masters degree in clinical pharmacy at the Universiti Sains Malaysia. She also obtained clinical pharmacy training in the United States and Australia.
Yulia began her career as a pharmacist at Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital, Jakarta - an academic center and the major referral hospital in Indonesia. She was the former Head of the Pharmacy Department for almost eight years and currently serves as the Senior Clinical Pharmacist. She is also a visiting lecturer at the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Gadjah Mada, Yogyakarta. She is actively engaged in developing several nationwide standards and guidelines on hospital pharmacy practice under the direction of the Ministry of Health Republic of Indonesia. Her current professional appointments include Vice President for South-East Asia within the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP)-Hospital Pharmacy Section; surveyor of the Indonesian Commission for Hospital Accreditation (KARS); Chair of the Division of Education and Career Development, the Indonesian Hospital Pharmacists Association; member of the Executive Committee of the Hospital Pharmacy Division, the Indonesian Hospitals Association; and member of the National Committee for the Indonesian Drug Formulary. She travels extensively throughout Indonesia to promote clinical pharmacy practice and to assist hospitals in preparing for accreditation in particular for medication management and use.
