Ryan Hannan, PharmD, MBA, BCPS is an internal medicine and cardiology clinical pharmacist at Mayo Clinic Rochester Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota. He completed his Doctor of Pharmacy and Master of Business Administration degrees at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa, where he earned the Lon Larson Engaged Practitioner Award. He then completed a 2-year Health System Pharmacy Administration and Leadership Residency at Advocate Aurora Health in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He has been at Mayo Clinic since completing residency, where he is active on several insitutional committees, including Pharmacy Quality, Safety, & Compliance, past chair of the Quality Control Committee, and an internal medicine formulary subcommittee member. He enjoys precepting students and residents and leading department wellbeing initiatives.
He currently serves as the President of the Southern Affiliate of the MN Society of Health System Pharmacists and is an active member of the MSHP Advocacy Committee. He currently serves on the Section of Inpatient Care Practitioners Educational Steering Committee and was in the inaugural cohort for the ASHP Wellbeing Certificate. His clinical and professional interests include complimentary & natural medicines, data analytics, and regulatory compliance.
