Jessica Geiger PharmD, MS, BCPS was never afraid to take the harder road to end up in the right place. She would be a magician’s assistant, and talented saxophonist in the United States Marine Corps before landing with solid footing in the pharmacy profession. She completed her doctor of pharmacy degree at the University of Findlay followed by a post-graduate residency at St. Rita's Medical Center. She then went on to obtain a master of science in palliative care leadership and administration.
Pharmacy in the hospice, palliative and chronic pain setting allows Jessica the satisfaction of making a profound impact in symptom management for countless pain sufferers by providing appropriate treatment coupled with compassionate care. Jessica spent the first 3.5 years of her career in hospice consulting and then another 7.5 years at OhioHealth on the inpatient palliative care setting. Jessica led the integration of palliative care pharmacy and was the PGY2 residency program director during her time with OhioHealth. She currently practices in chronic pain for the VA, serving another population she is passionate about, veterans. She is passionate about customized care specific to each patient.
Jessica's passion extends to education on pain management and palliative care and she does this through a variety of venues. She teaches at the college level, participates in local, state, national and international educational opportunities.
