Drug Policy Specialist

Dr. Kristina M. Reinstatler, PharmD, MBA, BCPP works as a drug policy specialist at UC Health in Cincinnati, Ohio. Additionally, she is an instructor in the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program at the University of Cincinnati, where she teaches psychopharmacology.
Dr. Reinstatler completed her Doctor of Pharmacy degree at the James L. Winkle College of Pharmacy, followed by a residency at the Chillicothe Veterans Affairs Medical Center. After her residency, she worked as a clinical pharmacy specialist in psychiatry and addiction sciences at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. During this time, she developed an interest in improving care for patients experiencing agitation, the role of long-acting injectable antipsychotics in court-ordered treatment, and diabetes management in patients with severe mental illness. Dr. Reinstatler is committed to patient-centered treatment outcomes.
Dr. Reinstatler served as the chair of the Core Outcome Set Task Force for the American Association of Psychiatric Pharmacists (AAPP). Currently, she is a member of the AAPP’s Board of Directors. She was awarded the “Graduate of the Last Decade” by UC’s College of Pharmacy and has received the Golden Apple teaching award twice from the Department of Psychiatry at UC.
