Carley Warren, PharmD, BCPS, CPPS (she/her/hers)

Dr. Warren earned her PharmD at Drake University College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences and went on to complete post graduate training. The first post graduate year of residency training was at Kaiser Permanente in Colorado where she gained valuable exposure to pharmacists’ impact on population health, specifically in medication safety, which cultivated a desire for further training in improving the safety for patients within a health-system. Dr. Warren’s PGY2 was completed in medication use safety and policy at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. These experiences laid the foundation for her current role as Manager of Medication Safety at HCA Healthcare. She leads several enterprise wide committees and initiatives focused on improving care for patients in HCA Healthcare's acute care settings. She also serves as preceptor for 3 colleges of pharmacy and is embeded as a preceptor in several residency programs. This session will engage student pharmacists and new practitioners who want to learn more about the science of safety and how just culture applies to their everyday practice regardless of career path.
