Charbel Aoun, MS, is a final year pharmacy student at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine Georgia School of Pharmacy. As a first-generation pharmacy student, he serves as a leader within his school and at the state and national levels of both pharmacy and community organizations. Currently, Charbel is the Chair of the ASHP Pharmacy Student Forum Executive Committee, representing student members and the Forum at ASHP national events. In addition, he serves his school as a Diversity Diplomat with the Office of Diversity & Community Partnerships, and his community as an Ambassador for the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce and a Board Member for its Young Professionals initiative, Gwinnett Young Professionals. He has received many accolades for his pharmacy and community advocacy work, including the recipient of Georgia’s 40 Under 40. Upon graduation, he intends to pursue post-graduation education specializing in administration and academia. Many organizations have recognized him for his efforts in bridging the gap between healthcare and education, and his professional aspirations are to continue to inspire the next generation of pharmacists and leaders.
