Dr. Golterman is a graduate of the University of Illinois, College of Pharmacy and completed her residency training at Illinois. She began her professional career at Jessie Brown VA (formerly Westside VA) in Chicago as an attending in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit, precepting both surgical and pharmacy residents and teaching at the University of Illinois as an Assistant Professor. She then moved to the private sector to manage clinical pharmacy services in a 750-bed hospital and managed 3 other facilities nationally. After a 7-year period in the private sector as a Clinical Coordinator, Dr Golterman returned to the VA at the national level in the Office of the Medical Inspector and then returned to Pharmacy Benefits Management and is currently the National Director of Residency Programs and Education. She is responsible for the oversight of the one of the largest pharmacy residency programs in the country with over 650 residents trained annually and growing, and leads an excellent Residency Advisory Board, Federal Resident’s Council, Clinical Teaching Certificate Program, monthly Journal Club and more. Dr Golterman has a passion in training the next generation of clinicians and loves working with trainees!
