Quynh Tran earned her Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Missouri – Kansas City in 2010. Right after graduation, she served in the US Air Force for 4 years and was Pharmacist in Charge for the 72nd Medical Group pharmacy department. After the Air Force, Quynh transitioned to the private sector working for Target pharmacy before she became commissioned in the US Public Health Service Commissioned Corps in 2015. During her PHS career, she has served as Chief Pharmacist at both the Bureau of Prisons Federal Correction Institute in Miami, Florida and the Federal Correction Institute (FCI) in Seagoville, Texas. She additionally worked as a Clinical Pharmacist Consultant at the Indian Health Service Lawton Indian Hospital in Lawton, Oklahoma. Since 2018, Quynh has served at the U.S. Food & Drug Administration in Dallas, Texas, where she worked on human and animal food operations and led the national rapid response team program, managing emergency response teams for foodborne outbreaks and natural disasters. In addition to PHS, Quynh has over 14 years of experience in the academia arena, training and teaching pharmacy students and serving as a pharmacy preceptor.
