Clinical Pharmacist Specialist

Jennifer Esch, PharmD, MBA, BCPS is a practicing emergency medicine pharmacist at Aurora BayCare Medical Center, a level II trauma center and tertiary care center in Green Bay, Wisconsin. She implemented the current pharmacist practice model in the emergency department (ED). She attended the University of Arizona College of Pharmacy and precepts student pharmacists, medical students, and PGY-1 Pharmacy residents on critical care and emergency medicine rotations. She was voted the inaugural Allied Health Educator of the Year by the University of Wisconsin medical students at her practice site in 2023. She helped her ED obtain Level 2 accreditation as a Geriatric ED in 2024 through implementing pharmacist centric policies around falls, medication histories, and Beers criteria screening. She has been a member of the ASHP Emergency Medicine Section Advisory Group since 2023. She is also on national committees for other emergency medicine organizations, involved in interprofessional CE opportunities, and is a peer reviewer for multiple journals. Research interests include cardiology, diabetes, antimicrobial stewardship, and emergency medical services.
