Associate Professor Pharmacology, Frist College of Medicine
Dr. Amy Henneman, PharmD, BCACP, BCPS, CDCES is an Associate Professor Pharmacology in the Thomas F. Frist Jr. College of Medicine, with dual appointment in the College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences Department of Pharmacy Practice at Belmont University in Nashville, TN where she maintains a clinical practice site in primary care at Neighborhood Health Clinic. She obtained her PharmD from Palm Beach Atlantic University in West Palm Beach, FL and completed a PGY1 pharmacy residency at the West Palm Beach Veterans Affairs Medical Center. She previously served as residency program director for a PGY1 and PGY2 ambulatory care and is current director for Belmont's Population Health and Academia Pharmacy Fellowship. Dr. Henneman worked to incorporate professional identity formation activities across each professional year as part of co-curriculum. She is currently serving as Director of Service-learning developing longitudinal, interprofessional service-learning activities across the College of Medicine curriculum. She has been an active member of ASHP since 2009, serving on the Section of Ambulatory Care Practitioners Educational Steering Committee and most recently in the Section of Pharmacy Educators Postgraduate Education Learning Experiences SAG as Vice-chair and Chair and in 2024 on the Development of the Postgraduate Education Workforce SAG. She is also active in the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy where she recently completed a term as Chair of the Women Faculty Special Interest Group.
