CAPT Kailee Fretland, is direct descendent of the White Earth Band of Ojibwe in Minnesota. She graduated from the University of Minnesota, Morris with a BA in Chemistry, the University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy with her PharmD and the University of Wyoming with her Masters in Health Service Administration. She completed a PGY1 at the St. Alexius Medical Center in Bismarck, ND and is a board certified pharmacist who has served in IHS for 17 years as a clinical pharmacist, Pharmacy Residency Director, Chief Pharmacist and currently is serving as the Principal Pharmacy Consultant, where she oversees 74 federal pharmacy programs with over 1100 pharmacists and pharmacy technicians across 27 states. She has been awarded the Minnesota Society of Health-System Pharmacists Pharmacist of the Year, North Dakota State Preceptor of the Year, the Indian Health Service Preceptor of the Year, the Indian Health Service Northern Tier Senior Pharmacist of the Year, and the Indian Health Service Luanna Reyes Leadership Award, and has received multiple Outstanding Service Medal Awards from the United States Public Health Service. She lives in Northern Minnesota with her husband and three daughters.
