Dr. Gary Peksa is Manager of Education and Transitions of Care at Rush University Medical Center. He obtained his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from University of Illinois, completed a PGY-1 Pharmacy residency at Rush University Medical Center, and received his Master of Business Administration from University of Illinois. Dr. Peksa started the PGY-2 Emergency Medicine Residency at RUSH and served as Program Director for 5 years. In his current role, he serves as the PGY-1 Residency Program Director and works with a team of Emergency Medicine pharmacists. Additionally, he serves as Assistant Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Rush Medical College. Dr. Peksa’s research interests include hyperkalemia, anticoagulation reversal, and statistics.
