Clinical Standard Coordinator, Pharmacy

Robert D. Beckett, PharmD, BCPS serves as clinical standard coordinator for Parkview Health in the Department of Pharmacy. After graduating with his PharmD from Purdue University, he completed a PGY1 pharmacy residency at Rush University Medical Center followed by a PGY2 drug information residency with Indiana University Health and Purdue University. In his role as clinical standard coordinator, he works closely with pharmacy leadership and other health care professionals to optimize safe, effective, and cost-effective medication use across the health system through medication stewardship. He also precepts pharmacy students and residents on drug information, medication use policy, and research learning experiences. He has published over 50 peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters, mostly related to drug information practice or teaching, and has presented at meetings of the American Society of Health-Systems Pharmacists, American College of Clinical Pharmacy, American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy, American Society of Consultant Pharmacists, and the Indiana Pharmacy Association. Dr. Beckett received the 2014 Indiana Distinguished Young Pharmacist Award, the 2017 AACP Emerging Teaching-Scholar Award, and completed the AACP Academic Leadership Fellows Program in 2019.
