Clinical Assistant Professor

Dr. Kral is a Clinical Assistant Professor at The University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine in Iowa City, IA. She is a core faculty member of the multidisciplinary pain management team at the University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics. She is also a faculty member for the Pain Medicine Fellowship and a preceptor for medical students, residents, fellows and pharmacy residents.
Dr. Kral received her BS and Pharm.D. degrees from The University of Iowa College of Pharmacy, and completed a pharmacy practice residency at The University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics. She is a Certified Pain Educator, a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach and a Certified Pain Management Coach. She developed a Pain Medication Management Clinic at UIHC to manage pharmacotherapy and coaching for chronic pain. She also works with the inpatient Acute Pain Service doing pre-operative pain assessments for the surgical teams and peri-operative acute pain management.
She served on the ASHP Pain and Palliative Care SAG for several years, holding positions as Vice-Chair and Chair, as well as other membership activities.
